All three herbs are antimicrobials – which means:

An antimicrobial is an agent that kills microorganisms or inhibits their growth.

Rosemary is just one of those herbs with a thousand uses in the home.

The unforgettable fragrance has been used for centuries to improve memory, have you seen those pictures of students in ancient times wearing a wreath of Rosemary around there heads?

They were used to improve memory and concentration, the aroma clearing the head and allowing you to focus.

Well it still works today. Try it and see. Merely filling your lungs with this herbs amazing fragrance will stimulate the senses and switch the brain into top gear.

Rosemary Proven To Protect You From The Black Plague

In the home rosemary has been known to purify the air and deter pests, so good at killing microbes and germs rosemary was used in combination with other herbs to protect people in the times of the black plague.

A famous recipe known as “4 Thieves’ Vinegar” was commonly used to clean and purify the home.

So named for the thieves’ who doused themselves in this vinegar and robbed the homes of the sick and dying.

Authorities were astonished these robbers had taken such a risk while admiring the astonishing powers of the vinegar.

Vinegar of the Four Thieves Ingredients:

  1. 2 TBSP Thyme (dried)
  2. 2 TBSP Rosemary (dried)
  3. 2 TBSP Sage (dried)
  4. 2 TBSP Lavender (dried)
  5. 2 TBSP Mint (dried)
  6. 4-8 cloves of minced garlic (optional)
  7. One 32-ounce bottle of organic Apple Cider Vinegar with “the Mother”

Now imagine using this recipe in your own home for all your cleaning purposes, we know from history it is a very powerful remedy and we also know scientific evidence has proven environmental toxins are responsible for 70% of all autoimmune disease in the world today.

It just makes perfect sense to also question our usage of toxic household cleaning products. When you read the labels of the everyday products you use in your home the list of harmful chemicals is deadly.

Now imagine getting rid of all the harmful cleaning products in your home and replacing them with 4 Thieves’ Vinegar.  It’s easy to see how you would be reducing your exposure to harmful chemicals and at the same time you will be reducing a major contributing factor to your disease.

But that’s not the only use for Rosemary, when you include it in your daily diet you are doing your digestion a big favour.

Wise Old Sage –

Next on the list is Sage and not to be outdone by Rosemary Sage also has a massive armory of protection in your home and diet.

Actions:

  • antispasmodic,
  • antimicrobial,
  • astringent,
  • anti-inflammatory

Sage, also part of the four thieves’ vinegar, is a classic remedy for inflammation of the mouth, throat tonsils and bleeding gums.

Sage also reduces sweating when taken internally and is an ally for those with hot flushes.

Sage is very calming on the stomach and is helpful in indigestion.

Sage also lowers blood glucose and controls inflammation in the body.

Next is Thyme again a very powerful herb and also part of the 4 Thieves’ Vinegar

Actions:

  • Carminative,
  • anti-microbial,
  • anti-spasmodic,
  • expectorant,
  • astringent,
  • anthelmintic
  • tonic
  • antiseptic

Used for sluggish digestion and indigestion. Sore throats, laryngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, whooping cough and asthma.

Topically used in rheumatic and neuralgic pain. Infectious wounds.

Give Me Some Thyme

Thyme has also been proven effective against helicobacter pylori

which was previously known as Campylobacter pylori, a gram-negative, microaerophilic bacterium found usually in the stomach.

While it may not affect some people H. pylori is responsible for most stomach ulcers and gastric cancer.

Not only implicated in stomach cancers H. pylori is involved with many autoimmune disorders including:

  • Sjögrens syndrome,
  • rheumatoid arthritis,
  • systemic lupus,
  • vasculitides,
  • autoimmune skin conditions,
  • idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura,
  • autoimmune thyroid disease,
  • multiple sclerosis,
  • neuro-myelitis optica
  • autoimmune liver diseases.

Compared with several antibacterial herbs, the thyme extract had a significant inhibitory effect on H. pylori, reducing both its growth and potent urease activity. From the results of this study, the aqueous extract of thyme possesses a therapeutic potential which merits validation by clinical studies.

Thyme also kills yeast infections like candida, which can cause leaky gut and a large number of autoimmune diseases such as asthma, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, irritable bowel (inflammatory bowel disease, or IBD, which includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), lupus, hypothyroidism, kidney disease, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, eczema, depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, heart failure, and celiac disease.

This is just a short overview of the most important aspects of three very common herbs that have powerful ways of protecting our bodies from disease. And I don’t think you will find it very hard to add these precious herbs to you daily diet especially now that you know they will kill many of the causes of autoimmune disease.

Try adding these fresh herbs to your daily diet and the benefits will improve your health substantially.

Use the 4 Thieves’ Vinegar as your house hold cleaner and you will not only rid yourself of the very harmful chemicals that have been scientifically proven to aggravate, worsen and cause autoimmune disease, you will be one more person helping to clean up our planet, by making your home a much healthier place to be.
